Clinician assessed

Suitability is determined after an appropriate clinical assessment.

Plan before treatment

Timing and next steps are confirmed only after the clinician’s review.

Understand the treatment before deciding.

Fixed braces use brackets and orthodontic wires to move teeth towards planned positions. Metal and ceramic systems can both support a broad range of orthodontic movements; the most appropriate option depends on the diagnosis, treatment goals and personal preference.

Questions to bring to your consultation.

What is the difference between metal and ceramic braces?

Metal brackets are more visible. Ceramic brackets are tooth-coloured or translucent and can offer a more discreet appearance. Selection also depends on clinical requirements.

How long will treatment take?

Timing varies with the complexity of the bite, required movements, biological response and cooperation. A personal estimate follows assessment.

Will I need retainers?

Retention is normally part of orthodontic care. Your orthodontist will recommend a plan based on your treatment and clinical needs.
